About Me

Professional Background

I received my Bachelor of Arts from Union College in 2006. I then worked as a copywriter in corporate advertising for 5 years. Over time I began to notice I was more interested in individual stories told in campaigns and by colleagues than I was in writing copy. I felt moved by narratives told in the world around me, not by the need to sell products. I decided to change careers and completed my Masters of Science in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University in 2013.

I began my clinical work in 2012 at the The Renfrew Center as an Intensive Outpatient Primary Therapist, where I provided supportive clinical services to clients coping with eating disorders as well as co-occurring diagnoses such as generalized anxiety, major depressive disorder and borderline personality disorder. I provided individual therapy, group therapy, meal support and family therapy.

In 2015 I joined Columbus Park as Primary Therapist and Intake Coordinator. I received evidenced-based training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for the treatment of Eating Disorders, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Relational Therapy.

I have completed Marsha Linehan's Behavioral Tech Institute Online DBT Skills Training as well as the first year foundational training and second year live clinical supervision training at the Ackerman Institute for the Family.

I am also a proud member of the National Association of Social Workers.
